What's New at Little Flock Music

Just Plain Folks 2006 Music Awards!

Little Flock Music is delighted to announce that Peter Mayer has won in multiple categories of the 2006 Just Plain Folks Music Awards!

After receiving 25,500 albums and 350,000 songs from more than 100 countries and territories, Just Plain Folks has whittled it all down to nominees in 81 Album genres/categories and 67 Song genres/categories (as well as 4 Video and 1 Lyric categories). Nominees come from more than 70 different countries and territories around the world!

Peter won in the following categories:

Contemporary Album of the Year -- Musicbox (First Place)

Contemporary Song of the Year -- When It Rains (Third Place)
(written by Peter Mayer, R. Scott Bryan and Vincent Varvel)

Cool Blue Swing, written by Peter Mayer and Chris Walters, had also been nominated in the cabaret song category. Peter also receives writing and performance credits on another nominated CD, in the Native American Song/Album category, Progressive World, by Autumn's Child.

Peter Mayer & The House Band CD

A CD is being issued from Peter’s work with the Cruzando band that played the National Lutheran Youth gathering, in San Antonio. These are NOT all Peter Mayer songs, but songs of faith selected and performed by Peter and the band, written by the likes of Chris Rice, Audio Adrenaline, Switchfoot, Big Daddy Weave, Curtis Mayfield, and others, as well as three Peter Mayer songs, one of which was written for the ELCA gathering.

The music is performed by a great group of musicians and vocalists (including our own R. Scott Bryan) with styles ranging from Latin to rock 'n roll, folk, to and more. While this is not a Little Flock release, we want to pass along ordering information, for those who may be interested in checking it out.
