  13. Hey Pete! Great little piece in your news letter about playing (or trying to play) guitars……Just a quick story….I always wanted to learn to play as a kid, but in a single parent household the money was never there. As soon as i could work, i started earning money to help out my mom with the household income. As time went on the dream faded, but never left…..For my 35th birthday i bought my first guitar and lessons to get going…..I’m 47 now and love to just sit and strum. I have a PRS 22 and a Martin 000JBP…………It’s never too late to learn something…………..See you on the road………..Dan Wilson

It was great to again see you and Brendan together and we always look forward to whatever comes out of your gigs with Scott and friends! We had a blast as usual. We had fun watching my mom enjoy herself as well…she is such a fan of you and your music. She was thrilled that you recognized her and that Brendan took the time to speak with her as well. You are not only superb musicians but some of the nicest people one could hope to meet! Hope to see you in New England again soon!

I also have another request……last year we had our engagement party at MOBOT and I had requested “Tender Moments.” We talked to you after the show and you (along with the band) signed our picture frame. You apologized for not being able to get to it. If you have room for that song in your set, we would love to hear it. Can’t wait to see you Friday!

It would bring us great comfort! Thank you Peter, for being such a humanitarian. We will be at the Annapolis show.

  53. My request for your Live CD is “Spare Tire Orchestra”. At your performance in 2001, you had a banner with “Sometimes a smile saves your day. Sometimes a song saves you life.” This saids it all. Your smile will lighten up the day. In more ways than you will know, your songs have saved my life; they are very uplifting and spiritual. I have been hooked to your songs & music ever since. Thanks for the journey so far!

Chain Of Love, My Rainbow, BB’s Got The Blues, Hair of the Dog, Jesse’s Hill, Approaching Caroline, Easy, Dirty Hands Dirty Feet….just to name a few. 66. ATTENTION PETER MAYER FANS AND FRIENDS!

As you may know, the Peter Mayer Group will be recording a LIVE CD this summer, for release later in the year. The live recordings will take place in the Chicago area of Park Forest, IL; St. Louis, MO; and Annapolis, MD!

We want YOU to help make the recordings more distinctive and hope that you will post your song requests on the Social Network page of the website!

Furthermore, if you will be attending one of the three live recordings, we are encouraging you to wear a Peter Mayer t-shirt! We will be documenting this journey with photographs for the website, and will be taking a group photo with anyone who attends in a Peter Mayer t-shirt. If you don’t yet have one, we have a variety of shirts in the webstore (click on “store”). We thought it would also be fun to make this t-shirt event a friendly competition: the person wearing the oldest Peter Mayer t-shirt design at each performance, will receive a special gift commemorating the occasion! So, start digging through your closets for your favorite PM t-shirt, or order a fresh new one online today!

We appreciate your enthusiastic support of this project and wish to thank all of you dedicated fans. We hear from many of you who are looking for the original “PM” album, which has been out of print for many years. We will be auctioning a “PM” vinyl LP at select performances this summer, with proceeds going to charity. Don’t miss the chance to win a “Piece of Paradise” PM history (and get it autographed, to boot)!

Please visit the “Performance” page of this site for venue and ticket information for the live recording nearest you!

  84. I want to thank Peter, Jim and Brendan Mayer for a wonderful weekend of music and great time. It’s always a thrill to perform with those cats and last weekend was one of the best, Saturday in Pembroke in particular.

Safe travels to you all and we’re counting the minutes until next time we perform together.

  85. Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just loved the “family affair” on SATURDAY in Pembroke. The sincerity and spontaneity was infectious, and hopefully your cold wasn’t! You certainly didn’t sound like you’ve been living on Sudafed. (Maybe the jumping up and down was a give-away.) Anyway, it was just plain fun. What a great surprise for you to see Jim show up at the door. John looked like he was having a great time, too.
It’s nice having Brendan in New England, he’s a wonderful musician (genetics!) Also, it ups the ante for getting you back our way! Thanks for a great show. Jeanne

    Jeanne on March 30th, 2011
  86. We really loved the show that was put together at the Balancepoint Studios in Pembroke Massachusetts last Saturday; by Jon Frattasio. Pete was great and what a pleasant surprise to have Jim Mayer show up and rock for most of the gig, he’s incredible. Pete’s son Brendan also performed and was outstanding. The audience had great energy and was active. Jon’s peopl really know Pete’s music. Pete, Jon, Jim and Brendan are so very talented, they looked like they were having a blast up there playing. It was fun to see them high fiving and touching fists after tunes. We can’t wait for the next one!

  88. Always love to make connections with my favorite musicians. Love Peter and Love this site. Some people are so lucky to have a God given talent, but it takes a real person to take it and do something with it – and share their talent with others. Thank you Peter for sharing.
