  2. Hi Pete. We don’t see a 3/14/17 show on your website but Natalie’s Coal Fired Pizza and Live Music shows you there. That really going to be a show? If so what’s your photo policy I’ve got a pro grade camera that doesn’t have a flash (just insane ISO capabilities) and great lenses. If photography is OK I’ll (unobtrusively) take shots and get them to you.

    Say Hi to India.

  18. As things start to calm and the return to your normal life returns, I pray that each of you know how important the message you shared is. I am about as average and vanilla of person as you will find (notice the absence of the word normal), and not that long ago you all had a major impact on my life and my faith, not only by your music but also by your kindness. Thank you, God bless you all, and please, know that the effort you put in and the sacrifices you’ve made have opened eyes and made real/positive differences. Don’t ever forget who you’re working for!

I can only hope that someday I have as positive an influence on someone else that you have had on me.

    Thank you

  20. Hi Peter Its Glenn again.
Hope you had a wonderful Christmas with your family when you finally finished your tours. The Christmas program you did this year was fantastic! My daughter(13) was listening to the concert from two years ago back in August! She was thrilled when I told her you would be coming around. From a musicians point of view you guys where very tight and sounded spot on in Bartlett. The violinist you had this year was unbelievable! She can tare it up Wow! Brendan has way more confidence it seems with his vocals. Listened to his CD and I like it. I didn’t care so much for Something to Say but that’s just me. I liked the rest of it though. Hope he continues and it works out for him. Chris’s Ya Everybody Ya has some tasteful jazz. Not much on Jazz but I liked his CD and your style of it that’s for sure. Family enjoyed the concert very much. It really puts everyone in the mood! I know it’s a lot of work and you are all away from a time to be with family. Just want to say how much we appreciate your sacrifices to make it happen. One thing I forgot to mention to you at the meet and greet. Your slide work on Heaven Only Knows off Still In One Peace. It sure has a George Harrison sound on that lead guitar! I love the way you play slide. What I would give to spend some time with you messin’ around! Thanks again my friend for your hard work and dedication to your Christmas music and touring for us! Hope you and family/friends have a great healthy happy New Year! Hope to see you all again next year. Thanks for scheduling our area in your tour! Glenn ,Zen and Jonna.

  25. Hi Peter! It’s Glenn. We are so excited that you are coming to Illinois! We met again two years ago twice! First time was with my Filipino wife Zenny. I say that so you can remember who we are. I also met you again at the show a few weeks later closer to Chicago. I forgot the name of the town. Anyway, you took the time to sign all those CD’s of yours and also helped me out with the bridge in Faith in Angels by writing out the riff in tab. Thanks so much for that my friend. Ive been playing it a lot lately. It really boost my spirits lately due to losing my loving mother of 92 yrs October 14th. She gave me my catholic religion, musicianship and so much more in life that no-one can take away. She was a teacher in public school for over forty years. Retired in her 70’s and continued in religious education and served the homeless until her last day on earth. The mother of 7 boys. Im the youngest. Im so proud of her life!!! Any hoot, Im so stoked you are coming around this Christmas season and so is my daughter Jonna. Hope to see you after the show again! Stay in good health and God bless you and your family! Glenn

The last time you were there you told me I should have asked for a request – so here goes – I am not only a huge fan of you – I am a huge fan of the Beatles. I CAN”T get enough of your version of MICHELLE – I love how it makes me feel like I am in a sidewalk cafe in Paris. I hope you can fit it into your set that night.

My friend, Jean Lubin is an amazing man from CT. who started a school called Head to Head. He did it on $500. Now, ten years later, he is providing free education to disadvantaged children in Haiti. He is a simple man, the organization is so grassroots, yet there is a halo over this mission. FYI,

  62. Hey Pete! Great little piece in your news letter about playing (or trying to play) guitars……Just a quick story….I always wanted to learn to play as a kid, but in a single parent household the money was never there. As soon as i could work, i started earning money to help out my mom with the household income. As time went on the dream faded, but never left…..For my 35th birthday i bought my first guitar and lessons to get going…..I’m 47 now and love to just sit and strum. I have a PRS 22 and a Martin 000JBP…………It’s never too late to learn something…………..See you on the road………..Dan Wilson

  95. Hey Peter et al,

My name is Alison and I’m the girl who smooth-talked you into playing “Mother’s Song” a few years back at a Christmas concert in Illinois. I’ll be at the Annapolis concert and wanted to make two request suggestions: for me, “Rocky Raccoon;” for my dad, Bob, and his best friend, Jenny, (two of your biggest fans), “Moonlight Over Paris.” Can’t wait to see you guys in concert again!

Alison Scharmota on August 2nd, 2011

  99. There are so many great tunes but I want to reach back to one you dedicated to Karen and me in 2001 at the Summer Concert Series in Somerset — here is a request for True Life Adventure and it sure has been a great one —

Waiting and hoping for you to do a songbook for all us aspiring guitar strummers to enjoy.

    To many more adventures,

  100. Duck Room at Blueberry Hill – since you’re in St. Louis, “River City Sunday” is a given. I also have another request……last year we had our engagement party at MOBOT and I had requested “Tender Moments.” We talked to you after the show and you (along with the band) signed our picture frame. You apologized for not being able to get to it. If you have room for that song in your set, we would love to hear it. Can’t wait to see you Friday!

  101. In April, we lost a very good friend named Allan Morris. He was larger than life and a great supporter of musicians everywhere. I would like to request Golden Light in honor of Allan. It would bring us great comfort! Thank you Peter, for being such a humanitarian. We will be at the Annapolis show.

Debbie McGee on July 22nd, 2011
  102. My request for your Live CD is “Spare Tire Orchestra”. At your performance in 2001, you had a banner with “Sometimes a smile saves your day. Sometimes a song saves you life.” This saids it all. Your smile will lighten up the day. In more ways than you will know, your songs have saved my life; they are very uplifting and spiritual. I have been hooked to your songs & music ever since. Thanks for the journey so far!

I’m so excited to be bringing along our pastor Father Britto to the July 28th show in Park Forest!! He’s from the same town in India that you are from! So glad he’s finally going to get to be at a live performance :) Of course, Catherine P. will be there as well! See you soon!

Valerie Halston on July 10th, 2011
  106. Really looking forward to the Annapolis show and subsequent live album. I’d love to hear just about anything from the early PM stuff like: Piece of Paradise, Wind On The Water, My intuition II and of course Peter Mayer Group releases like: All the Tea in China, Suzannah, Blue River, In The Meantime. Chain Of Love, My Rainbow, BB’s Got The Blues, Hair of the Dog, Jesse’s Hill, Approaching Caroline, Easy, Dirty Hands Dirty Feet….just to name a few. Including a couple new tunes would be fantastic as well. Oh and “In My Life”. I was really bummed that one didn’t make Goodbye, Hello. Anyway….that’s my two cents. There are just too many great songs to choose from. I’m thinking box set::)

    See you in August!

  111. I don’t know if it’s possible, but I’d love to hear “Lucky Star” that Peter (and Roger?) wrote for Buffett. We’ve never heard his version and a live recording of it would be great! If not, then my vote is for Faith in Angels and Sweet Nothing.

Louise Basnett on June 30th, 2011
  112. I would love to see “Silver or Gold” on the new release; I think that is the correct title. Pastor Ron shared it with us a few years back and it is a beautiful song that most PM fans probably have never heard.

Pat Mitchell on June 27th, 2011
  113. Suggestions for LIVE Recordings Set List: Green Eyed Radio, Send Me the Love, In The Meantime, Oh Suzanna, Good to Have A Friend, Faith in Angels. I am so looking forward to seeing the show at Blueberry Hill!! Blessings-

As you may know, the Peter Mayer Group will be recording a LIVE CD this summer, for release later in the year. The live recordings will take place in the Chicago area of Park Forest, IL; St. Louis, MO; and Annapolis, MD!

We want YOU to help make the recordings more distinctive and hope that you will post your song requests on the Social Network page of the website!

Furthermore, if you will be attending one of the three live recordings, we are encouraging you to wear a Peter Mayer t-shirt! We will be documenting this journey with photographs for the website, and will be taking a group photo with anyone who attends in a Peter Mayer t-shirt. If you don’t yet have one, we have a variety of shirts in the webstore (click on “store”). We thought it would also be fun to make this t-shirt event a friendly competition: the person wearing the oldest Peter Mayer t-shirt design at each performance, will receive a special gift commemorating the occasion! So, start digging through your closets for your favorite PM t-shirt, or order a fresh new one online today!

We appreciate your enthusiastic support of this project and wish to thank all of you dedicated fans. We hear from many of you who are looking for the original “PM” album, which has been out of print for many years. We will be auctioning a “PM” vinyl LP at select performances this summer, with proceeds going to charity. Don’t miss the chance to win a “Piece of Paradise” PM history (and get it autographed, to boot)!

Please visit the “Performance” page of this site for venue and ticket information for the live recording nearest you!

Don’t hesitate to contact us if you need more info!

  134. Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just loved the “family affair” on SATURDAY in Pembroke. The sincerity and spontaneity was infectious, and hopefully your cold wasn’t! You certainly didn’t sound like you’ve been living on Sudafed. (Maybe the jumping up and down was a give-away.) Anyway, it was just plain fun. What a great surprise for you to see Jim show up at the door. John looked like he was having a great time, too.
It’s nice having Brendan in New England, he’s a wonderful musician (genetics!) Also, it ups the ante for getting you back our way! Thanks for a great show. Jeanne

  135. We really loved the show that was put together at the Balancepoint Studios in Pembroke Massachusetts last Saturday; by Jon Frattasio. Pete was great and what a pleasant surprise to have Jim Mayer show up and rock for most of the gig, he’s incredible. Pete’s son Brendan also performed and was outstanding. The audience had great energy and was active. Jon’s peopl really know Pete’s music. Pete, Jon, Jim and Brendan are so very talented, they looked like they were having a blast up there playing. It was fun to see them high fiving and touching fists after tunes. We can’t wait for the next one!
