The Hands of Love
Peter Mayer
Out of a thousand faces you find the light in one
From so many distant places your journey has begun
To find true joy and happiness
To bring new blooms from brokenness
And every day your song be yes
We’re touched by the hands of love
We gather round as family to send you on your way
That you greet each tomorrow with the promise of today
Whatever road your hearts may find
Share your gifts that they may shine
The handiwork of God’s design
Formed in the hands of love
Chorus
Take these hands and never let them go
To lift you up and guide you like a good friend that you know
And a promise that comes from above
That you’d be carried
Carried by the hands of love
Before you knew before you believed you were called by name
Your richest hour your roughest path it knows you just the same
Like the rain on a thirsty land
Sweet music for your dance
The saving grace of God’s own hand
Will change you in the hands of love
Chorus
Take these hands and never let them go
To lift you up and guide you like a good friend that you know
And a promise that comes from above
That you’d be carried
Carried by the hands of love

We chose this beautiful song for the prelude song for our recent wedding. It really spoke to us, since we both firmly believe that God brought us together, and we had both traveled rather rocky roads before being united that wonderful day last June. It is as if Peter had written this song just for our wedding.
